Energie is starting 2009 under floodlights and goes to Hollywood for Spring/Summer 09.
Acclaimed actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers is the new face of Energie. The campaign, which breaks in January 2009 in top-tier publications around the globe, depicts the Irish star in a variety of denim-based looks which perfectly capture the rock ‘n roll attitude and “styleclash” aesthetic that characterize the Energie brand.

Rhys Meyers’ versatility as an actor, with roles ranging from the kingly (in Showtime’s The Tudors) to the conniving (in Woody Allen’s film Match Point) give him a depth of expression that sets him apart from other actors.  
Rhys Meyers is the perfect representation of the Energie guy – a man who can move perfectly in between the worlds of film, music, art, and fashion.
The campaign images explore the notions of movement and perspective. The set walls are constructed at angles that trick the eye, and Rhys Meyers is never static, imbuing each image with energy – and Energie.

Shot in Paris by world-famous photographer Steven Klein, under the artistic direction of Sixty Group Co-Founder and Creative Director Wichy Hassan, the images showcase Klein’s unique ability to capture movement.  
Styled by influential stylist Patti Wilson, the campaign, with its unique juxtapositions of color and silhouette, references Wilson’s eclectic vision.
